Who I am
I am the Family Pastor at Dauphin Way Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. I joined the staff of Dauphin Way in August of 2016. I am a husband, father of four, PhD student, and Marine officer.
Why I do this
I am finally undertaking this task that has been in the works for many years. Why so long? Well, there are a number of reasons. First, I certainly do not have all of the answers. My perspective is as one navigating the very waters upon which I am trying to help others navigate. I have also had to overcome a bit of rejection of the popular blog phenomena. I reject the notion that writing a good blog equates to good leadership. However, I recognize the need to communicate in order to lead.

I appreciate all the mercy you can spare as I put my thoughts into words and publish them here. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, at least that's what my wife says. So I am going against my perfectionist leaning in just getting some ideas out there to engage men on the subjects of marriage, masculinity, and family.
What I hope to accomplish
My goal is to provide succinct thoughts as a practical tool for men who are engaged in the daily battle for their marriages and families. I encourage and appreciate feedback!
